SOMERSET CPAs COMPILES SEMINAR FOCUSING ON
ORGANIZATIONAL DEADLY SINS

Howard Cox

You have heard of the 7 deadly sins: Pride, Envy, Gluttony, Lust, Wrath, Greed and Sloth. Somerset CPAs P.C., one of Indianapolis’s top ten CPA firms, has taken a unique approach to linking these cardinal sins to specific vices rampant in today’s corporate world.  The outcome is an illustrious seminar focusing on a “best of the worst mistakes commonly made in today’s business,” says Howard Cox, developer of Somerset’s Organizational Deadly Sins and Director of Business Consulting for Somerset CPAs.

With over 18 organizational categories of folly, Cox has developed the Organizational Deadly Sins Training (How to Identify, Avoid and Remediate Organizational Sins) seminar.  By outlining various mistakes and habitual pitfalls commonly signaling a business that is failing to reach its full potential, he proposes that such missteps can be avoided through the examination of 18 particular principles that will right the common wrongs of businesses small and large, ultimately turning one’s vices into virtues.

“Of course not all businesses are guilty of all 18 organizational deadly sins, but most are guilty of some.  By opening the lines of communication and acknowledging your own business’s common mistakes, one begins to develop stronger practices, ultimately fixing and avoiding these same mistakes in the future thus adding value to your company,” explains Cox.  By setting out to educate and instruct the corporate world, Somerset begins to initialize the repair and growth process needed for economic stimulus and survival in today’s corporate climate.

Thursday, February 21st, Somerset CPAs will be presenting their first Organizational Deadly Sins (How to Identify, Avoid and Remediate Organizational Sins) seminar.  Somerset provides an open forum for discussion and encourages attendees to arrive with their list of “business sins” and promotes an interactive and collaborative session.

Various “sins” Somerset will be discussing include the “Promotion Sin,” the “Ostrich Sin” and the “Insanity Sin,” amongst many others.  For a full list of Organizational Deadly Sins and to register for Somerset’s Organizational Deadly Sins seminar call (800) 469-7206 ext. 2500, e-mail seminars@somersetcpas.com or register online at www.somersetcpas.com/SEMINARS.HTM.
